The Auditor General’s Act includes rules for the Auditor General on authority, audit scope, procedures and outlines which materials Rigsrevisionen may gain access to. The Instruction for the Auditor General outlines right of access to documents. Rigsrevisionen is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act or the Public Administration Act, however, Rigsrevisionen is subject to equivalent rules described in the Instruction for the Auditor General.
