International activities

Rigsrevisionen wants to be on the forefront of public sector auditing and influence the development through our international commitment. Rigsrevisionen's international activities are therefore aiming to ensure that we provide useful contributions to the development of public sector auditing, but at the same time also derive benefit from our commitment.

The purpose of Rigsrevisionen's international activities can be formulated into two goals:

• Rigsrevisionen is actively exercising influence on the international development of public sector auditing

We are therefore chairing INTOSAI's Professional Standards Committee which is developing global professional standards for public sector auditing. And we play an active role in the international fora that we take part in.

• Rigsrevisionen derives benefit from its international commitment

The widespread contacts and strong network resulting from Rigsrevisionen's international activities allow us to draw on the latest knowledge and experience gained by other Supreme Audit Institutions in our own audits and major studies. We are deeply involved in the development of international auditing standards and principles and are therefore keeping updated on the most recent initiatives in the area.

International co-operation fora

Rigsrevisionen's international activities are primarily confined to four international co-operation fora for Supreme Audit Institutions. It is a priority for Rigsrevisionen to participate and represent Denmark in these fora.
