The Auditor General

Henrik Otbo was born on 14 November 1949 in Copenhagen.

He graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 1976 with a masters degree in economics and joined Rigsrevisionen immediately after.

• The European Court of Auditors Luxembourg 1984-1988 (Head of Cabinet from 1985)
• Head of Section in Rigsrevisionen, 1976-1984.

Henrik Otbo is chairman of the INTOSAI Professional Standards Committee (PSC). INTOSAI is an umbrella organisation for Supreme Audit Institutions and the PSC is responsible for developing tailor-made standards and guidelines for public sector auditing.

Henrik Otbo has been teaching at the University of Copenhagen and the Copenhagen Business School within the areas civics and theoretical statistics.

Henrik Otbo is married and has two grown children.
